LVN – The LVN is responsible and accountable for the nursing care rendered to patients across life spans seen at the Medical Center during his/her assigned hours of duty. All nursing care rendered must be within the licensure of California for Vocational Nursing and is under the direction of a physician or mid-level practitioner. The LVN is responsible for adhering to all established standards of nursing care.
OB Charge Nurse (Full Time) - The Charge Nurse is responsible for the smooth, safe and efficient functioning of the Birth Center during a 12 hour shift. The Charge Nurse makes patient assignments, directs patient flow and acts as a resource in emergencies and for clinical questions. This position requires the ability to remain focused in a busy environment, while maintaining a commitment to patient centered care and customer service.
The ideal candidate is able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor under pressure, and had excellent communications, time management and problem solving skills. One year of leadership experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate with relevant nursing experience. Med/Surg (Full Time/Part Time/Per Diem) - Is responsible for the continual assessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. RN is responsible for the development of patient's plan of care to include preparation for the patient's discharge and required patient/family education. Also responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Must possess a current CA license, BLS and meets all specific department requirements. Previous acute care experience preferred.
Emergency Dept. RN (Full Time and per diem) - The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patients discharge and required patient/family education. Responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire.
Birth Center RN - Located in beautiful and temperate rural coastal California, our Level I community hospital has 2 triage rooms, 3 LDRPs and 4 postpartum rooms for mother/baby couplet care. Our Birth Center is low tech and high touch with a low epidural rate and even lower C/S rate. We staff 1:1 for labor clientele who prefer Doppler to continuous EFM. We promote rooming-in, breastfeeding and the golden hour even for patients with surgical deliveries. The best fit RN has a gentle touch but with keen situational awareness and proportionate response. Our providers are a mix of licensed midwives, certified nurse-midwives, FP, DO and ObGyn. All of this adds up to a much sought after comfortable, charming, family-centered atmosphere adored by staff and patients.
Emergency Room Technician - As an ER Tech, you will be responsible for performing basic patient care duties under the supervision of the Registered Nurse; collecting and recording vital signs and intake / output data; reporting data collected to the Registered Nurse; responding to emergency situations; cleaning and stocking patient rooms; and assisting in the routine ordering and stocking of patient care supplies.
