Hospital participates Bike to Work Day, becomes a energizer station
Arcata, CA 2018 -- Put your best wheel forward because Mad River Community Hospital (MRCH) will be an official Energizer Station for Bike to Work Day on May 10th. The month of May is also National Bike Month and MRCH has partnered with the Facebook group Bike Month Humboldt to encourage the community and their employees to ride their bikes for fitness and to reducing carbon emissions. The goal of National Bike Month is to promote safe bicycling and physical activity by encouraging employees to ride their bikes work and throughout the county all month long.
The MRCH “Energizer Station” will be in front of the Shaw Pavilion from 6:30 a.m. - 9 a.m. MRCH employees and community members who participate in riding their bikes to work can grab a cup of coffee donated by Dutch Bros, or healthy fruits and granola bars. A bike rack will be provided. There will also be a raffle for participants to win a hydration pack.
