Registered Nurse: responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s plan of care, to include preparation for the patient’s discharge, and required patient/family education. Expectations are to be in compliance with actions permissible under the RN scope of service allowed by the California Nurse Practice Act, Hospital policies and employee Code of Conduct, adherence to the professional values of Nursing, leadership of the Nursing patient care team, and collaboration with ancillary departments.

Applicants must possess a current CA license and meet all specific department requirements. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtain certifications within a 6 month period of hire. 

Surgery RN Circulator The Surgery Circulator Nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team.  The Surgery Circulator Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s discharge and required patient/family education. Must have excellent teamwork skills. Duties include but not limited to setting up/breaking down surgery rooms, checking patients in, collaborating with Surgeon, Anesthesia and rest of team re: case and patient specific details, assisting Anesthesia with induction and wake up, patient safety, positioning and surgical prep, intraoperative documentation and SBAR hand-off to PACU. Plenty of room to learn if interested in scrubbing in to tech or RNFA in the future! Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire.  Experience preferred but will train motivated individual. BLS, ACLS Monday through Friday 7-3:30 with call shifts

Surgery Manager The Nurse Manager is a professional Registered Nurse who is responsible to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of patient care across life spans. Provides for the recruitment, professional development and evaluation of nursing personnel.  Assumes financial responsibility for the department, monitors compliance to the annual operating budget and develops and implements plans to address variances in performance.  Ensures an on-going system for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided and ensures nursing care is consistent with approved standards of care and practice. Responsible for all operational components of the department on a twenty-four (24) hour basis under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, in addition must work one (1) day shift and one (1) night shift as a direct patient RN per every six (6) week calendar. Prepares an annual written report or action plan for each department for the purpose of Quality Improvement. The manager collaborates with the hospitalists, and emergency physicians, evaluating patient plans of care on a case-by-case basis. The manager is a member of the Clinical Managers, and the Perinatal Committee. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Possesses a current license in the State of California; 2. Possesses current BLS and ACLS, NRP and PALS certification; 3. Two (2) to five (5) years clinical acute care experience preferred; 4. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; 5. Demonstrates knowledge of management theories, leadership and management skills; previous nursing management experience preferred; 6. Previous nursing management experience preferred.

RN is responsible for the development of patient's plan of care to include preparation for the patient's discharge and required patient/family education. Also responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Must possess a current CA license, BLS and meets all specific department requirements. Previous acute care experience preferred.

*Birth Center RN (full time/part time/per diem) Located in beautiful and temperate rural coastal California, our Level I community hospital has 2 triage rooms, 3 LDRPs and 4 postpartum rooms for mother/baby couplet care. Our Birth Center is low tech and high touch with a low epidural rate and even lower C/S rate. We staff 1:1 for labor clientele who prefer Doppler to continuous EFM. We promote rooming-in, breastfeeding and the golden hour even for patients with surgical deliveries. The best fit RN has a gentle touch but with keen situational awareness and proportionate response.  Our providers are a mix of licensed midwives, certified nurse-midwives, FP, DO and ObGyn. All of this adds up to a much sought after comfortable, charming, family-centered atmosphere adored by staff and patients. Also accepting applications from new grads

ICU RN (full time/part time/per diem) The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s discharge and required patient/family education. Responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire.  Must demonstrate competency in EKG/Rhythm strip interpretation.  Previous Critical Care experience preferred.  CCRN preferred.

*Home Health RN (part time) The Home Health RN - The Home Health RN has basic public health nursing knowledge and maintains standards of care for the Home Health Service within the framework of the philosophy and objectives of the Home Health Service Department. This is accomplished by planning, directing and evaluating nursing activities during his/her scheduled hours. Under supervision, he/she provides a wide range of public health nursing services including health assessment, teaching, treatment and counseling in homes. Home visits are made for specific purposes in the homes of patients whose physician request services according to a Plan of Treatment. The Home Health RN is directly responsible for the nursing care administered to patients assigned to his/her care, managing assigned personnel and promoting collaboration among the disciplines. This position demands emotional stability conducive to dealing with a high stress level for 8-10 hours at a time associated with fast paced responsibilities, rapidly changing priorities, creative problem solving, emotional demands of patients and their families.
