Registered Nurse: responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s plan of care, to include preparation for the patient’s discharge, and required patient/family education. Expectations are to be in compliance with actions permissible under the RN scope of service allowed by the California Nurse Practice Act, Hospital policies and employee Code of Conduct, adherence to the professional values of Nursing, leadership of the Nursing patient care team, and collaboration with ancillary departments.
Applicants must possess a current CA license and meet all specific department requirements. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtain certifications within a 6 month period of hire. 

Med/Surg RN (full time/part time/per diem) Is responsible for the continual assessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. RN is responsible for the development of patient's plan of care to include preparation for the patient's discharge and required patient/family education. Also responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Must possess a current CA license, BLS and meets all specific department requirements. Previous acute care experience preferred.

*Birth Center RN (full time/part time) Located in beautiful and temperate rural coastal California, our Level I community hospital has 2 triage rooms, 3 LDRPs and 4 postpartum rooms for mother/baby couplet care. Our Birth Center is low tech and high touch with a low epidural rate and even lower C/S rate. We staff 1:1 for labor clientele who prefer Doppler to continuous EFM. We promote rooming-in, breastfeeding and the golden hour even for patients with surgical deliveries. The best fit RN has a gentle touch but with keen situational awareness and proportionate response.  Our providers are a mix of licensed midwives, certified nurse-midwives, FP, DO and ObGyn. All of this adds up to a much sought after comfortable, charming, family-centered atmosphere adored by staff and patients.

ICU RN (full time/part time) The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s discharge and required patient/family education. Responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire.  Must demonstrate competency in EKG/Rhythm strip interpretation.  Previous Critical Care experience preferred.  CCRN preferred.

*Home Health RN (full time/part time) The Home Health RN - The Home Health RN has basic public health nursing knowledge and maintains standards of care for the Home Health Service within the framework of the philosophy and objectives of the Home Health Service Department. This is accomplished by planning, directing and evaluating nursing activities during his/her scheduled hours. Under supervision, he/she provides a wide range of public health nursing services including health assessment, teaching, treatment and counseling in homes. Home visits are made for specific purposes in the homes of patients whose physician request services according to a Plan of Treatment. The Home Health RN is directly responsible for the nursing care administered to patients assigned to his/her care, managing assigned personnel and promoting collaboration among the disciplines. This position demands emotional stability conducive to dealing with a high stress level for 8-10 hours at a time associated with fast paced responsibilities, rapidly changing priorities, creative problem solving, emotional demands of patients and their families.

*Same Day Surgery RN (full-time) The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s discharge and required patient/family education. Responsible for providing leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborating with departments. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire.

*PACU RN (full time) Post Anesthesia Care Unit The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards.

Surgery RN (full time) The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s discharge and required patient/family education. Responsible for providing leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborating with departments. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire.

Endoscopy RN (per diem) The Registered Nurse is responsible for the continual assessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team. RN is responsible for the development of patient's plan of care to include preparation for the patient's discharge and required patient/family education. Also responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Must possess a current CA license, BLS and meets all specific department requirements. Previous acute care experience preferred. Must demonstrate competency in EKG/Rhythm strip interpretation. May be required to accept "on-call" assignments. Previous experience in surgery and/or GI Lab preferred. Six (6) months previous experience in acute care nursing required.

Emergency Room RN The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment and reassessment of the patient, taking into consideration the data collected by other members of the healthcare team.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for the development of the patient’s discharge and required patient/family education. Responsible to provide leadership for the nursing patient care team and collaborate with departments. Possesses current ACLS and PALS certifications and/or obtains certifications within six (6) months of hire.

Registered Nurse First Assistant The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) functions as the assistant to surgeon during surgical intervention. The RNFA collaborates with the surgeon and health care team in performing a safe operation with optimal outcomes for the patient. Must have a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of California, ACLS within 6 months of hire, CNOR certification, and at least 3 years experience in preoperative nursing as a scrub nurse.

Home Health LVN (full time/part time) The Home Health LVN has basic nursing knowledge, a repertoire of service-driven and patient-oriented interpersonal skills, and maintains standards of care for home health services within the framework of the philosophy and objectives of the Home Health Service Department. The Home Health LVN furnishes services in accordance with agency policies under a plan of care, prepares clinical and progress notes, assists the physician and registered nurse in performing specialized procedures, prepares equipment and materials for treatments observing aseptic technique as required, and assists the patient in learning appropriate self-care techniques. This position demands emotional stability conducive to dealing with a high stress level for 8-10 hours at a time associated with fast-paced responsibilities, rapidly changing priorities, creative problem solving, emotional demands of patients and their families. Must possess a current LVN CA license, CPR certification and California driver's license. Possess a reliable car, with safe driving skills, and current auto insurance. Experience in home health is desirable and a minimum of one year of experience as a LVN is required.
