Medical Staff Coordinator (full time) The coordinator is responsible for processing applications, verifying credentials and reappointment of the Medical Staff as well as the Allied Health Professional Staff. Under direct supervision of the CEO, works in a team environment to maintain providers' privileges and credentials in accordance with criteria set forth by the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) and Joint Commission (JC); provides related administrative and clerical support; other duties as assigned. Requirements: High school graduate with two years of college business courses preferred; secretarial and organizational skills; command of the English language with good spelling skills; proficient in medical technology; two years working in a medical staff office; ability to prepare accurate meeting minutes; computer skills including word processing, spread sheets, etc; meets physical requirements of the position.
Medicare/Medi-Cal Biller Insurance Billers are responsible for the timely billing of claims to the various health care programs and plans after they have dropped into their Ready to Review list. Some of these health plans and programs include Managed Care, Indemnity, Government Health Plans (e.g., Tricare, Veterans Administration, etc.), Special Programs (e.g., Victim-Witness, etc.), Third Party Liability (e.g., auto insurance) and Self-funded Insurance. Insurance Billers are also responsible for the timely follow-up on claims if they have not been adjudicated in a timely manner, in addition, billers also need to do timely follow-up on denied or underpaid claims in order to bring them to a paid resolution. There are several types of billers, each with their own competencies (e.g., Medicare, Medi-Cal and Insurance), therefore billers will be expected to be knowledgeable of the billing requirements, program and plan regulations including changes, and when prior authorizations are required and expected reimbursement on accounts. Billers will resolve credit balances on accounts and will assist the department in general when there are special projects or staffing concerns when requested by either the Business Office Supervisor or the Manager of Patient Financial Services. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate; good written and verbal communication skills; windows based PC Literacy; experienced in MS Word and Excel desired but not required; broad knowledge of health insurance, health insurance contracts, health insurance collections, hospital billing and cash posting.
Clinic Supervisor The office supervisor is the on-site coordinator of office operations and provides support to the front office and back office staff. Is crossed trained to other positions in order to assume others roles when necessary. Coordinates on and off site programs, serves as a resource to phone calls and provides information when needed. The office supervisor takes on projects and tasks as assigned by Department Manager to assist in the smooth operations of the clinics. Acts as liaison between clinics staff and Department Management. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; 1 year clinical experience preferred; 1 year office experience preferred; current BCLS certification; cross training to all clinics front and back positions within 1 year of hire or promotion.
Medical Assistant/Float The medical assistant provides supportive duties to the practitioner within a well-defined scope of practice to provide medical care to all patients treated in this office. Assists with breath alcohol test and drug screening needs of the clinic. High school diploma, certified medical assistant and, 1 year clinical experience is preferred. Needs a current BCLS certification. Also an injection certificate, and a drug and alcohol screening certification within 6 months.

Certified Home Health Aide Under the supervision of the R.N., performs home health care to patients; maintains a safe and clean environment for assigned patients; insures patients receive proper nutritional and non-professional nursing care; and does related work as required. Provides personal care and general housekeeping services for convalescent, clinically ill, or disabled.
Nursing Assistant (full time/part time/per diem) Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and / or Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct patient care. Must possess current BLS certification. Acute care experience preferred.
Admitting Clerk High school diploma or GED preferred. Assists in the operation of the hospital by receiving/greeting and registering patients for procedures and admissions. At the switchboard, answers all incoming calls, routes telephone traffic, and serves as hospital receptionist. Good written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Care Plan Typist and Order Tracking Clerk/Home Health Department (Full time) The Home Health Care Plan Typist and Documents Support position, under the direction of the Home Health Director, and in direct cooperation with the Patient Care Service Manager is responsible for the accurate production of home health plans of care. This position works with a team of administrative staff who support the daily operations of a busy home health staging office that supports the clinical staff who deliver medical and rehabilitative services throughout the community. In addition this position secures patient private insurance authorization/ eligibility for referrals and works closely with the Patient Care Service Manager. This is a cross trained, multifaceted assistant position demands critical thinking, the following of coding guidelines and accuracy in translation of clinical information to initiate the Plan of Treatment. The position demands cooperative teamwork with the Patient Services Manager on an ongoing basis to assure maximum visit projection and productivity. It requires the ability to communicate effectively with insurance carriers, clinicians, and facilities staff. It requires emotional stability, the ability to work under stress from the demands of multiple staff, varying situations, changing priorities and regulatory deadlines. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in computer data entry, typing and attention to accuracy; excellent customer service and telephone communication skills to receive and give accurate information essential; experience in the medical field with medical terminology and coding preferred; current California driver’s license, the possession of a reliable car, safe effective driving skills and current auto insurance. Housekeeper (full time/part time/per diem) To maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas to promote sanitary, orderly, and attractive conditions. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Previous janitorial and hospital experience preferred. Also the ability to read, write, and effectively communicate orally in English.
