Medical Staff Coordinator

Clinics Manager- The Clinics Manager oversees the operation of services provided through the outpatient clinics. The Clinics Manager is responsible for setting policy and directing, administrating, and evaluating Family Practice Clinics, Specialty Clinics, consistent with organizational goals and objectives. The Department Manager may function in a single location or multiple locations within the Outpatient network. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS, 2-5 years clinical acute care experience preferred, 2 years’ experience in a primary care setting preferred, current knowledge of governmental regulations and community health principles applicable to occupational and environmental health and safety, knowledge of Rural Health Clinic licensing and regulatory requirements preferred, Ability to plan, organize, work independently, and manage multiple projects, ability to use technology to review statistics, collect data and interpret significant findings.

Marketing Coordinator To assist in promoting public relations for the hospital through advertising, marketing, press conferences, public service announcements and special events; to assist in promoting morale of hospital employees through special events and recognition. To provide administrative support to the administrator as directed. Experience in marketing/advertising and background in office work required. Must have software skills in Power Point, word, excel, and publishing software for ad layouts, advertisements, posters, and brochures such as Microsoft Publisher, Photoshop and Illustrator. Knowledge of the hospital is preferred. Relates positively in a constructive and solution oriented manner to the public, hospital personnel, and physicians. Is receptive to discussing and implementing marketing ideas and opportunities with administrative and medical staff. Background in graphic arts, public speaking, writing, graphic design, advertising, and marketing required.

Clinic Supervisor The office supervisor is the on-site coordinator of office operations and provides support to the front office and back office staff. Is crossed trained to other positions in order to assume others roles when necessary.  Coordinates on and off site programs, serves as a resource to phone calls and provides information when needed. The office supervisor takes on projects and tasks as assigned by Department Manager to assist in the smooth operations of the clinics.  Acts as liaison between clinics staff and Department Management POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; 1 year clinical experience preferred; 1 year office experience preferred; Current BCLS certification; Cross training to all clinics front and back positions within 1 year of hire or promotion

Group III Dishwasher/Coffee Shop Aide Under general supervision, responsible for the operation and cleanliness of the coffee shop, operates the cash register, records all cash and meal ticket sales, serves coffee shop customers including cooking of grill items, making sandwiches and other related work. Also sanitizes all dishware, utensils, trays, pots, pans, and carts. Delivers and picks up patient carts to and from patient areas, prepares hot beverages for tray line; assists with tray line, cleans up after meetings and may be assigned other related jobs.

Radiology Secretary Responsible for non-technical support, primarily clerical. Technical staff and Radiologist assistance as needed.

Client Account Billing Responsible for billing and follow up of patient accounts with appropriate payers within established time frames.  Assist patients and other parties with questions regarding patient accounts. 
Qualifications:  High School Graduate or GED.  Good written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to interact with the public.  Knowledge of insurance and government programs and physician/hospital billing experience preferred.  One year related experience in the healthcare industry preferred.

Medicare Biller Insurance Billers are responsible for the timely billing of claims to the various health care programs and plans after they have dropped into their Ready to Review list.  Some of these health plans and programs include Managed Care, Indemnity, Government Health Plans (e.g., Tricare, Veterans Administration, etc.), Special Programs (e.g., Victim-Witness, etc.), Third Party Liability (e.g., auto insurance) and Self-funded Insurance. Insurance Billers are also responsible for the timely follow-up on claims if they have not been adjudicated in a timely manner, in addition, billers also need to do timely follow-up on denied or underpaid claims in order to bring them to a paid resolution. There are several types of billers, each with their own competencies (e.g., Medicare, Medi-Cal and Insurance), therefore billers will be expected to be knowledgeable of the billing requirements, program and plan regulations including changes, and when prior authorizations are required and expected reimbursement on accounts.  Billers will resolve credit balances on accounts and will assist the department in general when there are special projects or staffing concerns when requested by either the Business Office Supervisor or the Manager of Patient Financial Services. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate; good written and verbal communication skills; windows based PC Literacy; experienced in MS Word and Excel desired but not required; broad knowledge of health insurance, health insurance contracts, health insurance collections, hospital billing and cash posting.
 

 Medical Assistant/Float The medical assistant provides supportive duties to the practitioner within a well-defined scope of practice to provide medical care to all patients treated in this office. Assists with breath alcohol test and drug screening needs of the clinic. High school diploma, certified medical assistant and, 1 year clinical experience is preferred. Needs a current BCLS certification. Also an injection certificate, and a drug and alcohol screening certification within 6 months. 

Certified Home Health Aide Under the supervision of the R.N., performs home health care to patients; maintains a safe and clean environment for assigned patients; insures patients receive proper nutritional and non-professional nursing care; and does related work as required.  Provides personal care and general housekeeping services for convalescent, clinically ill, or disabled.  

Housekeeper (full time/part time/per diem) To maintain the cleanliness of assigned areas to promote sanitary, orderly, and attractive conditions. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Previous janitorial and hospital experience preferred. Also the ability to read, write, and effectively communicate orally in English.

Medical Staff Coordinator (full time) The coordinator is responsible for processing applications, verifying credentials and reappointment of the Medical Staff as well as the Allied Health Professional Staff. Under direct supervision of the CEO, works in a team environment to maintain providers' privileges and credentials in accordance with criteria set forth by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP); provides related administrative and clerical support; other duties as assigned. Requirements: High school graduate with two years of college business courses preferred; secretarial and organizational skills; command of the English language with good spelling skills; proficient in medical technology; two years working in a medical staff office; ability to prepare accurate meeting minutes; computer skills including word processing, spread sheets, etc; meets physical requirements of the position.
